Give me an "Oh!"
Someone from ParentDish found this photo on my Flickr page and posted it on their site. Thanks ParentDish.
There'll be a lull in photos for the next few days, or possibly weeks. The recent rains have required me to put down the camera and pick up a shovel to clear pooling water away from the house, or play in the mud, whatever you want to call it. I'm also getting back on the work train next week, so...the real world has come a knockin' once again. But if you can't tell already, photography is my drug and it won't be long before I need another fix.

The "Moby Wrap"
I call it 5 meters of stretchy fabric that you can fashion into a sling -- branded for your consumerist ways. Still, it's a pretty utilitarian way to go hands free while minding the little bugger.

New environs
A quick note to tell you we left the hospital a day early and made tracks back to the ranch this afternoon. Everything checked out fine with Tevi & Aysha, so there was no reason to spend another night in the claustrophobic environs of Cedars Sinai's non-deluxe but still probably absurdly expensive room. We were just glad to know that Britney had checked out prior to our arrival.
The staff at Cedars is phenomenal, from the RNs who helped delivery Aysha to the RNs who helped us care for her after the birth. We thank them all for taking care of us so well. We also owe a tractor trailer truck load of gratitude to Dr. Christina Adberg who brought Aysha into the world with truly remarkable care every step of the way, from the first ultrasound to the moment she coaxed her into the world yesterday. She made us feel safe and well-informed at all times and kept us entertained with stories and political talk in between contractions.
Tomorrow is a big day for Aysha. She will meet the former baby of the house, Ms. Tiva. Should be interesting.
Thank you all for the super kind notes. We are blessed to call you all friends & family.
I guess this wasn't such a short note after all. Time for some sleep (yeah, unlikely, we know...)
